Building and growing practical solutions across engineering, design, and software.
Lakindu Matharaarachchi is a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa with a growing focus on mechanical design, robotics, embedded systems, manufacturing, automation, and software development. Alongside Mechanical Engineering, he is also following a Bachelor of Information Technology at the same university, strengthening his ability to connect engineering with software and digital systems.
Driven by a passion for innovation and hands-on engineering, he actively engages in projects that bridge design, technology, and practical implementation. His experience spans computer aided design, prototyping, electronics integration, and software assisted engineering workflows, allowing him to approach challenges from a multidisciplinary perspective.
In addition to his technical studies, he is pursuing CIMA to build competence in management, finance, and business decision making. This reflects his broader interest in entrepreneurship, business development, and creating solutions that are not only technically strong but also commercially practical.
With this mindset, he founded Robonics as an initiative to explore engineering services, product development, and practical business driven innovation. Through Robonics, he continues to develop his passion for entrepreneurship while working towards transforming technical ideas into real world products and services.
Let's connect and explore how engineering design, product development, and business focused innovation can create meaningful real world impact.

Robonics
Robonics is a self founded startup established in 2025 by Lakindu together with peers from Engineering. It began as a CAD designing service with the aim of helping students, creators, and clients transform their ideas into practical, accurate, and manufacturable design solutions.
Robonics now grows beyond basic CAD services, expanding its focus towards broader engineering solutions and product development. Its work now connects mechanical design, 3D modelling, prototyping concepts, automation, and practical problem solving to support real world technical requirements.
With a strong foundation in engineering knowledge and hands on innovation, Robonics aims to develop solutions that are not only visually and technically sound, but also realistic, functional, and manufacturable. The startup continues to evolve as a platform for engineering creativity, entrepreneurship, and product focused innovation.
